The necessity of making resilient cities for climate change adaptation

Tehran, January ۲۹, ۲۰۲۴ (MRUD NEWS) —During the ۷th International Conference on Climate Change in Tehran, Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development and head of the Iran Meteorological Organization (IMO) , Sahar Tajbakhsh, said moving toward sustainable development and building resilient cities against the risks of climate change is a necessity for adaptability to current conditions. The average global temperature on Earth has reached about ۱۵ degrees, which has increased, and the latest information on temperature changes indicates that most changes have occurred in subtropical regions, the head of Iran Meteorological Organization said. The Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development considered the rising sea level another serious risk and said that the risks have been increasing and what will help us is moving towards sustainable development and creating resilient cities and countries against the risks of climate change.
