Iran Transport Performance in ۲۰۲۲

The loading/unloading operations at Iran's commercial ports account for ۱۳۷ million tons during ۱۱ months from March ۲۰۲۲ to February ۲۰۲۳, according to the latest performance report of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development. More conspicuously, the container operations with ۲,۱۴۴ TEU shows ۱۱ percent growth and passenger transport through ports had been ۱۶ million that indicates ۶۰ percent increase compared to the same period in the last year. The figure for the number of passengers in international flights is ۲,۵۶۸ people with ۹۵ percent increase compared to the same period in the last year. ۲۷ million passengers have been transported via railway in Iran during ۱۱ months from March ۲۰۲۲ to February ۲۰۲۳. Passenger transport through road sector shows ۲۳ percent increase amounting to ۱۱۶ million people.
