Iran's road transit soared to ۱۴ million tons in ۲۰۲۳

Tehran, April ۲۱, ۲۰۲۴ (MRUD NEWS) —۱۴,۷۵۰,۰۰۰ tons freights transited through Iran's territory by the Iranian and foreign fleets in ۲۰۲۳ that is the highest record during the previous years, according to Javad Hedayati, the director-general of Transit and International Transportation Bureau at Iran’s Road Maintenance and Transportation Organization (RMTO)..The performance of previous years regarding the volume of road transit shows that the highest record was in ۲۰۱۵ with the transit of ۱۲,۳۰۰,۰۰۰ tons..The transit of non-oil goods amounted to ۹,۴۰۰,۰۰۰ tons in ۲۰۲۳, which has grown by ۳۸٪ compared to ۲۰۲۲, Hedayati added..Hedayati also announced that transit of oil products reached ۵,۰۳۵,۰۰۰ tons which has increased by ۱۱۲٪ compared to ۲۰۲۲.
