Iran Prioritizes Transport Network Modernization to Drive Sustainable Transit Revenues

Tehran, November ۳, ۲۰۲۴ (MRUD NEWS)—During the ۱۶th National Conference and Exhibition on Bitumen, Asphalt, and Machinery, Sadegh emphasized the need to integrate knowledge-based capacities to enhance the quality and efficiency of Iran’s roadways, which are crucial to the country's economic development. Sadegh stated that the conference and exhibition provide a valuable platform for drawing on advanced expertise to improve road infrastructure. She noted that almost ۹۰% of Iran’s transportation, both freight and passenger, relies on road networks, making maintenance and quality improvements essential to support this extensive demand. Sadegh underscored that initiatives such as continuous working groups formed after the conference will be influential in driving quality upgrades across the nation’s roadways.
